UNIBO is one of the most important institutions of higher education in Europe and one of the most active Italian universities in research and technology transfer.
UNIBO successfully participated in the FP6, FP7 and Horizon 2020 programmes, as well as in LIFE, Central Europe, South-East Europe, INTERREG IV C. More than 300 European projects has been coordinated by UNIBO.
Two Departments of UNIBO participates in the LIFE AGROWETLANDS II project. The Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL, www.distal.unibo.it) contributes skills in Soil Science, Agronomy and Plant Ecology; the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM, www.dicam.unibo.it) contributes skills in Hydraulics, Hydraulic Engineering and Geomatics.

Agrisfera is the largest farmers’ cooperative in the province of Ravenna (Italy). Its nearly 400 members together cultivate an area of more than 4000 ha. The cooperative is active in a wide variety of sectors, from the production of high quality milk to the cultivation and marketing of ornamental woody plants and the production of biogas.
Agrisfera is experienced with precision farming; five of its farms are currently hosting the experimental field activities of LIFE AGROWETLANDS II.

OSV is a highly qualified company on trading and consulting in agricultural sector, founded more than 40 years ago as a commercial branch of a company of machineries for agriculture. Today OSV boasts an extensive commercial network of dealers, farmers and wholesalers.
OSV participates in LIFE AGROWETLANDS II supporting the partners through its technical expertise on equipment and irrigation management systems.

Winet srl is a young telecommunication company founded in 2011. It develops multifunctional, small-sized, low cost and high energy efficient Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for environmental monitoring, agricultural support and landslide detection.
The company was involved in many European (EuroCPS - Horizon 2020 Programme) and regional projects (Emilia Romagna - Startup innovative 2013); some of its engineers are co-authors of internationally acknowledged publications. Winet collaborates with various University Departments as well as public bodies, major companies and cooperatives.
Winet is engaged in the construction of the WSNs of LIFE AGROWETLANDS II, as well as of a user-friendly platform for providing irrigation advices to farmers.

Comunidad de Regantes de Carrizales

The Comunidad de Regantes de Carrizales is a non-profit public law entity of more than 400 members in the countryside of Elche (Spain), of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation. For more than three centuries, the Comunidad ensured the farmers for the distribution, protection and reuse of water, as well as for the maintenance of more than 200 kilometers of an ancient aqueduct excavated in the ground. The Comunidad de Regantes de Carrizales hosts some experimental fields, equipped with a mini-WSN, to test the replicability of the LIFE AGROWETLANDS II project in a typical Mediterranean area.

The Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA) is committed, through its research and transfer activity, to the progress and prestige of the Valencian agri-food sector. IVIA promotes the competitiveness of the agriculture, livestock and agri-food sectors by generating knowledge that meets technical, social and economic demands, even in the most challenging conditions. IVIA has a specialized research team for the development of sustainable agriculture and irrigation technologies on saline soils. This team actively participates in the replicability of the LIFE AGROWETLANDS II project in Spain.
